问：「良知原是中和的，如何却有过、不及？」
先生
先生曰：「知得过、不及处，就是中和。」
问：「良知原是中和的，怎么会有过与不及？」
先生说：「知道得过与不及处，就是中和。」
Asked: 'Innate knowledge is centered and harmonious of itself — whence excess and shortfall?'
The Master said: 'To know where the excess and shortfall lie — that is center and harmony.'
